I stamped the houses in my new favourite way. I've been creating backgrounds with paints etc, scanning them then printing them out and using them as backgrounds, embellishments etc. The technique is from Kate Crane where I learnt most, if not all, my art journaling :o)
So my 20 pages... I went for a mix of cut up papers, scraps, card, recipe cards, handmade backgrounds and even some ephemera from a suffragette pack I have.. here's the pages:
Page 1
I bought a gorgeous Prima art journal a couple of years ago which is full of the most gorgeous papers - being a list freak I thought this page taken from the art journal looked good as a first page - sort of like an index...
The reverse looks like this - it was a full 7 days but it had to be cut up to fit. I added the "Open Your Wings" quote as a small addition...

This is part of 7 Dots Studio's Messy Head Collection papers to which I added the houses stamped on one of my own printed backgrounds again - I was really pleased at how well they went together and even think the houses look like part of the paper:
The reverse is quite art journally on its own so I added nothing to it.

My first hand made creation... the front is a hand-painted page with lots of layers of tissue paper, patterned paper, stamping, rubons, stickers, washi tape and more...
The back I left black and white so someone can paint over it as well as add their main imagery, it's a big piece of tissue paper and then the large warning is a rub-on and underneath is a rub-on that says found art

Some scrap I've had since I started crafting I think. I liked it because it reminds me of a page Kate Crane does in one of her DVDs where she cuts a similar hole and lets the page underneath show through - I thought that would be great in someone's journal... I added the place photo here rub on

At the moment this is showing through from page 5 and looks lovely :) It's a cut out from some Bo Bunny scrapbook paper onto which I stamped the Journal word:

A scrap of Finnabair Domestic Goddess paper to which I've added cut outs from my scanned backgrounds and a rub-on saying standard issue

A large kraft tag to which I've added a stamped image, partly on my own background paper and part straight onto the tag. I've added a strip of my own background at the bottom and a rub on underneath saying please write all the important stuff here
I've added more strips of my own background paper on the back, a postage style stamp at the bottom, a true confessions rub on and the 51 tag is a sticker

Some Tim Holtz paper that I've folded so there's 4 squares on the front part and 6 squares on the back. Not sure if you can see the fold here. I added more strips of my own background paper and a rub on saying listen to you heart
On the back (this hasn't scanned straight) I added the rub on To Be Continued

A page I made myself with pink spray and paint, tissue paper, washi tape, torn paper, a stamp onto my own background paper and the work in progress rub on:
The back has more spray and paint, She Art tissue paper and a Creative Expressions flower stamped onto my own background paper then stuck on.

A smaller tag this time to which I added the red rub on, an arrow I cut from my own background paper and the 1, 2, 3 stickers are Finnabair.
The back has some strips from my own background papers and some random ink marks

I've had these recipe cards for a long time so I added strips of my own background paper and I thought the rub on at the top was funny to add to a recipe card.
I attached a random piece of card to the back to make a pocket and inside I've put a few bits including a mini tag covered in my own background paper and other items.

This page is two scans of backgrounds from another journal that I've glued onto the back of a card envelope then I added the Dylusions quotes stamp at the top and a random quote at the bottom to fit with the stars
The back is another of my scanned backgrounds printed out and glued on to which I added the wonderland word at the bottom and some word art at the side which says, the air seemed saturated with miracles
I've then attached this gorgeous paperartsy tag to the page. It can be removed if the recipient wants.
The back of the tag is fairly plain and I've added the word explore at the tops and the quote "the beautiful calm of the day" at the bottom.

A smash pocket onto which I've added a quote "I will not forget my destiny"
On the back I added a "censored" rub on and inside the pocket I've put some Jenni Bowlin receipts and a nice clothes tag from Joe Browns which has a button on.

I've attached this small quote I found in one of my drawers. I've used a cropodile and attached it with ribbon
